We follow the AQA specification for Physics. Our course is delivered by specialist Physics teachers and is designed to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
Students will have 2 hours of timetabled lessons per week in year 10 and 11.
The course includes 8 units which are all externally assessed in 2 written papers in the summer of yr 11;
Physics paper 1 Physics paper 2
Energy Forces
Electricity Waves
Particle model of matter Magnetism & electromagnetism
Atomic structure Space physics
The course also includes 10 required practical activities, to give students hands on experience and develop their understanding of scientific inquiry.
