We follow the AQA specification for Biology. Our course is delivered by specialist Biology teachers and is designed to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
Students will have 2 hours of timetabled lessons per week in year 10 and 11.
The course includes 7 units which are all externally assessed in 2 written papers in the summer of yr 11;
Biology paper 1 Biology paper 2
Cell Biology Homeostasis & Response
Organisation Inheritance, variation & evolution
Infection & Response Ecology
Bioenergetics
The course also includes 10 required practical activities, to give students hands on experience and develop their understanding of scientific inquiry.
