Adding Classes &
Online Waitlist Information

Adding Psychology 26 or 32

If you are interested in adding Psyc 26 (Applied Psychology) or Psyc 32 (Social Psychology), try to register for it during the registration period. If the course is full, you can register for the waiting list. Students on the registered waiting list have priority in being added. For more information on the waiting list process, visit Waitlist Information. If the class and the waiting list are both full, the next step is to fill out a "class add request" in myRAM. CCSF is no longer using add codes and now requires that students submit a request. See instructions on page 22 in the myRAM Registration Guide.

Adding Psychology 1 or 21

Getting on the waiting list is not a guarantee that I will be able to add you. My online classes are in demand; most students taking them need them for transfer or prerequisite requirements, so they do not tend to drop. Once classes begin, I add people, as openings come up, in the order they appear on the waiting list. For online courses, students are not added according to registration date, but by the order in which they appear on the waiting list.

Waitlisted Students

If you are registered for the waiting list for Psyc 1 or Psyc 21, it is important that you regularly check your CCSF email address (or the address you have registered with the college) even before the course starts. If a student drops the course before it starts, and you are next on the waiting list, you will be offered the spot via email. You must respond within 24 hours confirming that you still want to add the class. If you miss this email, the next person on the waiting list will be offered the spot, and you will lose your place on the waiting list. For more information on the waiting list process, visit Waitlist Information.

Once the course starts, I have the waitlist, and I begin adding students as soon as I am able. If I can add you, I will invite you to add via your CCSF email account, so be sure to check that email account regularly and/or have those emails forwarded to your preferred email address. You must respond within 24 hours if you would like to add the course. This timing is important because I need to get you started with the course as soon as possible so that you do not get too far behind.
