Evnrionmental Geology is the study of the nature and dynamics of Earth's near-surface environment (waters, atmosphere, soils, and landforms) and human interactions with it. Topics include climate and climate change, natural hazards (earthquakes, volcanoes, floods), resource management (mining, fossil fuels, groundwater), pollution (water quality and air pollution), monitoring, and political and human influence
