***I wanted to highlight some ways instruction is differentiated in the classroom if your child demonstrates he/she has already mastered the 2nd grade standard I am teaching.  In math, they will be provided with enrichment activities to extend their learning of the standard. During our reading block, students will be given opportunities to demonstrate their ability in reading fluency, accuracy, and comprehension. Different levels of reading materials, instruction, and activities will be given to students. If the students have not mastered the standard, they will be given instruction and activities related to gaining mastery in that standard.
