Language Arts and Social Studies Supply List

1 blue folder for LA and 1 red folder for Social Studies

24 pencils (or 200 if you lose things easily) (extras can be stored in the classroom if they are donated)

Loose leaf lined paper. (extra can be stored in the classroom, if they are donated)

Green ink pens for editing and correcting work.

*** All work in workbooks is done with pencil, some final drafts can be done with blue or black ink pens but green ink is only used when correcting or editing - never to complete an assignment.

Optional:

A handheld pencil sharpener, with pencil shavings holder

Pencil pouch is good to keep track of pencils and pens

Students will have workbooks that have only one copy of each assignment/activity in it. These will stay in the classroom. If the student needs to complete it as homework the pages of the "Practice book/ handbook" can be removed and the student can keep the copy in their folder. If they lose the copy the parent can go online and print a new copy from the textbook website. If they cannot print one the student can look at the worksheet online and clearly write answers on lined paper.

No textbooks go home. Students will only be caring one soft folder per class and pencils and pens. Backpacks should not be overweight and heavy if the student is carrying only the correct supplies. 3 ring binders are not needed and are to large on top of the desks. Please help your child minimize the contents of their backpack.
