The purpose of this research is to get a better understanding of how post-secondary faculty, staff, and administrators evaluate a respondent’s risk to reoffend following a sexual assault, as well as what sanctions they deem appropriate.
Participants in this study will be presented with an account of a sexual assault that occurred at a Canadian post-secondary institution. After reading the account, they will be asked to complete a questionnaire pertaining to respondent risk to reoffend and sanction recommendations. All responses will remain anonymous after completing the survey.
Note: The term “respondent” refers to an individual who has been accused of sexual misconduct.
The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. All participants will be entered to win one of two $200.00 Amazon gift cards. Randomly drawn winners of the two gift cards will take place following data collection and cards will be distributed in early 2023.
