Britni G | Honours Student (2023-2025) and RA (2025- )
Britni G is a fourth-year honours student. She is being supervised by Dr. Sandy Jung while she completes her honours thesis, which focuses on the predictive accuracy of the ODARA risk assessment tool for Indigenous perpetrators and the prevalence of the criminogenic needs for Indigenous perpetrators, as part of the CELIA project. In addition to her honours thesis, Britni volunteers as a Peer Support Leader with the Students Association at MacEwan and is actively involved with the MacEwan Indigenous Students Club.

Academic and Professional Collaborators
Meredith Allison, Ph.D. | Elon University, Elon, NC
Dr. Meredith Allison is a full professor at Elon University who is interested in the interface of psychology and the law, with a particular interest in the ways in which social psychology can inform legal issues. She has conducted several studies on perceptions of alibis, eyewitnesses' memories for events, people's perceptions of eyewitness accuracy and confidence, and stereotypes of older adult witnesses, offenders, and victims. She has also collaborated with colleagues in the criminal justice area on studies of people's knowledge of laws and accompanying punishments. Finally, she is interested in interpersonal communication and has studied the use of gestures in dialogues.
Liam Ennis, Ph.D., R.Psych. | Forensic Psychologist
Dr. Liam Ennis is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta and a registered forensic psychologist with 20 years of experience in the field of violence risk assessment and management. He was previously the resident forensic psychologist for Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT), assigned to the Integrated Threat and Risk Assessment Centre (ITRAC) where he oversaw the training of police threat assessors and provides consultation to federal and provincial law enforcement and child protective services regarding intimate partner violence, stalking, sexual violence, and other forms of targeted violence. Dr. Ennis holds a faculty appointment in the Department of Psychology at Laurentian University and is an affiliate member of the Forensic Psychology Research Centre at Carleton University. He has published and presented internationally in the areas of sexual and intimate partner violence, stalking, workplace and school violence.
N. Zoe Hilton, Ph.D., C.Psych. | Waypoint Centre for Mental Health
Dr. N. Zoe Hilton is the Senior Research Scientist at the Waypoint Centre for Mental Health, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, and a registered psychologist. She was educated in the UK, Canada, and the US. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Southampton, a Master's degree in criminology from the University of Cambridge, and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Toronto. Since joining Waypoint over 25 years ago, she has worked both as a direct care clinician and as a full-time researcher. Her research grants and publications primarily concern domestic violence, risk assessment, and risk communication. She is also researching forensic patients' clinical progress and physical health.

Sgt. Kitura is a retired Sergeant in the Edmonton Police Service and a research collaborator.
Kevin Nunes, Ph.D. | Carleton University, Ottawa, ON
Dr. Kevin Nunes is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology and director of the Aggressive Cognitions and Behaviour Research Lab at Carleton University. The main focus of his research is on the conceptualization and measurement of cognitions thought to be relevant to sexual and nonsexual violent behavior, and the role these cognitions may play in violent behavior.
Anna Pham, B.A. Hons. '13 (MacEwan), M.A. and Ph.D. (Carleton) | Department of National Defense
Anna completed her doctorate in Psychology at Carleton University under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Nunes. Her research focused on the assessment and prediction of sexual and non-sexual violence recidivism, with a particular interest in intimate partner violence recidivism. Her other research interests include the conceptualization and measurement of cognitions thought to be relevant for sexual (or non-sexual) aggression and the role these cognitions may play in sexually (or non-sexually) aggressive behaviour, and the identification of factors that may lead to sexual interest in children. John Tedeschini | Tedeschini Training and Consulting
John Tedeschini has had a 25-year police career and wide-ranging investigative experience included assignments with Homicide Section, Polygraph Unit, Internal Affairs, and the Interview Support Team. He was one of the first practitioners in Canada to advocate for a move away from the problematic “traditional” police interviewing approach to one grounded in psychological science, recognizing the need to merge academic research with real-world practice, and has published in peer-reviewed journals in this area. He has 15 years of experience in training police officers, and also conducts private training sessions with a wide range of private and public-sector clients. His commitment to an evidence-based, ethical, and practical approach remains reflected in the present-day training he provides his clients.
