WORLD HISTORY

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course traces the ideas, upheavals, and conflicts that shaped the modern world, from the intellectual revolutions of the Enlightenment to the ideological standoffs of the Cold War. Students will examine how new ways of thinking about power, freedom, and human dignity gave rise to political revolutions, reshaped nations, and ultimately redefined the global order.

Through primary source analysis, discussion, and critical writing, students will develop the historical thinking skills needed to understand how revolutionary ideas, political extremism, and struggles for human rights continue to shape the world today.
