What is Job Shadowing? Job shadowing is an opportunity to explore the world of work by “shadowing” an individual in an occupation. You will tour, observe, ask questions and come to understand what a particular occupation involves.
You will be required to independently set up one job shadow during this semester for a minimum of 2 hours. You need to determine who you would be interested in job shadowing. Many area hospitals and clinics are willing to take job shadow requests. Also, if you are interested in areas such as veterinary offices, chiropractic offices, psychology, etc., you will need to find a facility willing to offer job shadowing and set up a time with them. IF JOB SHADOWING IS NOT AVAILABLE, AN ALTERNATE ASSIGNMENT WILL BE REQUIRED.
