The bass should lean towards you

The elbow should be free to move, not resting on the shoulder of the instrument

Fingers should be rounded

The thumb should be pointing sideways

The 2nd finger should be half-way in between the 1st and 4th finger

This can be practiced by holding a container of Pop's Rosin in between your fingers as you play

When holding a French Bow, the thumb should stay bent

When holding a French Bow, your thumb should be placed where the frog meets the stick

When holding a French Bow, the fingers should stay straight

When holding a German Bow, the hand should stay relaxed
