Dr. Rahul Makkar is currently associated with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, LNMIIT, Jaipur, India. Formerly, he was in the Department of ECE, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kota. He received the Doctoral Philosophy degree entitled "Analysis of NOMA over TWDP Fading for 5G and Beyond Wireless Systems" from LNMIIT, Jaipur, India and an M.Tech. degree from MNIT Jaipur, India, in 2024 and 2013, respectively. He has more than ten years of experience in academics, research and administration. Furthermore, his research interests include PHY link-level simulation, cooperative communication, MIMO, OFDM, index modulation, intelligent reflecting surfaces, and NOMA analysis. He is also associated with DNN Wireless Technologies as a Research Consultant since August 2023 and is working on 5G and beyond communication systems. Moreover, with the advent of high-speed optical communication, working on high-speed multimedia transmission via IR/LED and prototyping a 5G NR-enabled wireless repeater. He also served as a TPC member for several IEEE events, including WCNC, FNWF, and ANTS, and as a reviewer for prestigious journals. Being an active senior member of IEEE, I have published more than 26 research publications, including peer-reviewed articles and flagship conference proceedings.
