The junior high band is composed of 7th-8th graders and meets Mondays, Wednesdays and every other Friday. They have four performances throughout the year and three concerts at Lenox High School as well as performing at Junior High Large Group Band Contest. The junior high band students have the opportunity to perform in honor bands. In the fall, 7th and 8th grade students may audition for the SWIBA Honor Band. In the spring, 7th and 8th grade students may participate in the Lenox Junior High Honor Band, Southwest Iowa Bandmasters Association Honor Band, Southern Iowa Junior High Honor Band and the Grandview University Honor Band in Des Moines.
