As mandated by IDEA, (Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act) students 

who require AEM must receive material in a timely manner (same time as print).

Digital = flexible so every student can have access.

Digital text allows the user to change the text size, font, text color, and spacing (more spacing between lines, math problems), add annotations, use speech to text, use text to speech (for proofreading), use built-in dictionary/picture dictionary, create vocabulary lists and create or listen to audio (directions, answers).

Digital text with OCR (optical character recognition) enables text to speech for audio feedback. We have Snap Scanners with OCR software and Carolyn is available to help you!
