BARD Basics

• All LPS students qualify for and can have a subscription to BARD through the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled at the Library of Congress (NLS). 

• The qualifying print disability is Specific Learning Disability (SLD) in Reading or Dyslexia. 

• BARD is the free App that students will need in order to download and listen to the audiobooks. 

• There are over 200,000 titles and counting, including magazines, nonfiction and foreign language content. 

• There’s no limit on the number of copies for each title and there’s no limit on the length of borrow time.
