ImPACT Baseline Test
Pre-Participation Physical Examination
Leander ISD requires that all athletes have an annual physical. The physical is good for 1 year from the time signed on the exam by the physician except for incoming 9th graders. According to the UIL (governing body of Texas athletes) incoming 9th graders (current 8th graders) must have a new physical on file with Rouse HS Athletic Trainers NO EARLIER than May 1st 2026.
An athlete CANNOT practice or play until the physical and all accompanying paperwork is ON FILE with the Rouse High School athletic trainers.
May 1st, 2026 for the 2026-27 school year is the date set by the district to open all the new 2026-27 Rank One online paperwork to the public.
Example: An 8th grader receives a physical in March for soccer. Is that physical good for 9th grade until the following March? Answer: No, they will need a new physical.

ImPACT Baseline Test
ImPACT Baseline Test - For the 2026-27 School Year Leander ISD will be switching to the ImPACT Baseline Test. This is a computerized baseline test that will be completed at the campus under the direct supervision of the Athletic Training Staff. This test must be completed prior to any athletic participation.
