Grade-Level Grading Policy

RBMS 8th Grade Math Grading Policy 2020-2021

Assessments 75%

• Tests, Quizzes, and Projects will go in the assessment category. Test will not account for more than 25% of the total six weeks grade.
• Assessments will be uniform throughout the department.

Daily Work 25% (see rubric below)

Corrections/Retakes

5 school days from when the assessment is passed back to you to do one of the following:

• Quizzes - correct for half points back for max of an 80%. Must be done with your math teacher during tutorials, or with another teacher with their signature.
• Tests - Retake unit tests for up to an 80%

Late Work

Late assignments will have a maximum score of an 80%. To be eligible for late credit, assignments must be turned in on or before the unit test.

Daily Work

The following rubric will be used to grade most assignments in this category. Feedback may be given as information on the students' work, orally in class, through small groups, through the computer, or through other means. Students will be expected to track their mastery of skills on their student matrix
