About Me

My name is Lee-Ann Rojas, and I teach Algebra and PreAlgebra (grade-level math) to 8th graders at Running Brushy Middle School. Math is my passion, and I share this with my students. My goals are that students leave my classroom with both a feeling of success and a love of math.

This year will be my 20th (!) year of teaching. I graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies-Math Specialty. I also hold a Masters Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Curriculum and Instruction-Math Specialty.

If/When you need to contact me, email is best. My email is lee-ann.rojas@leanderisd.org (you need to put the hyphen!). The school's number is 512.570.3300, and ask the receptionist to connect you.

When I'm not teaching (or planning or grading), I enjoy completing puzzles (all kinds), yoga, watching sports, shopping, and cooking.

Even though I was born and raised in Houston, Leander is now “home”. We moved to Austin in 1998, and then to Leander the following year. My husband (Mr. Rojas) and I have two boys. Garrett, our older son, is a musician on the Austin scene. Gavin is a Leander Lion alumnus, enjoys acting, and was in the Advanced Theatre Program. I also have a grand-dog, BabyGirl.
