Helping Others:

We Help Two - We partner with schools, organizations and individuals to make twice the difference. We Help Two was founded on the belief that fundraising can be done in a way that benefits two causes. By hosting a funky sock fundraiser through We Help Two, organizations not only raise funds for their cause but also impact their local community through our sock donation program to local homeless shelters.

Together We Rise A 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Together We Rise - Austin also has their own volunteer opportunities.

Amare Outreach (this started as a LHS CAS Project!)- ​Founded by Dana Pierce and Jared Bouloy in July of 2016. Inspired by those who had opened up their stories, Dana and Jared wanted to find a way to address, advocate, and help those who have been, or are currently struggling with a mental illness or abusive situation.

Safe Alliance - The SAFE Alliance exists to stop abuse for everyone by serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence. We are dedicated to ending violence through prevention, advocacy, and comprehensive services for individuals, families, and communities that have been affected by abuse.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas - What we do: Providing comfort and support to families with sick children. Volunteers make a difference to our children and families and truly make our House a Home. From cooking, cleaning, and comforting, volunteers help us care for our families. Austin Habitat for Humanity - We build and repair homes almost exclusively with volunteer labor. Hope Alliance - There are a variety of ways for you to get involved. We depend on individuals and groups in the community to help provide services to the many survivors of family and sexual violence. Fill out the volunteer application today! Orientations are held once a month in the evenings, with the ability to schedule a daytime orientation if needed.

Homeless Shelters and Safe Spaces:

Out Youth - Out Youth serves the Central Texas LGBTQ+ (lesbian/gay/bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning) youth and their allies with programs and services to ensure these promising young people develop into happy, healthy, successful adults.

Front Steps - Austin Texas - Helps people transition from homelessness to housing.

Casa Marianella or Posada Esperanza (Women’s House) - Casa Marianella provides shelter, food and full support services to homeless immigrants. Two clusters of shelters in renovated houses in residential neighborhoods in East Austin serve women and children escaping violence and adult immigrants.

Salvation Army - Austin Command - Volunteer opportunities for 18 years or older. If you are younger than 18 visit Generation Serve. Salvation Army includes programs like Angel Tree and Austin Shelter for Women and Children.

Music Link Foundation Help underprivileged kids get connected to music.
