Click Here to Get Started ---> Image to Lithophane Website <--- Click Here to Get Started
Procedure:
Step 1. Click on the "Images" command to upload the picture you want to convert into a 3D printed part.
Step 2. Select the directory and the name of the picture file you want to convert into a 3D printed part.
Step 3. Select a picture to make a 3D copy.
Step 4. Once the picture is loaded into the program, it will appear as a flat image. Now is the time to decide whether this is the image you want to convert into a 3D part. If not, find another image and upload it onto the Lithophane workspace.
Step 5. Experiment with different shapes. The three shapes are "flat", "inner curve" and "outer curve". The other shapes on the program consume too much 3D printing filament to be economically useful.
Step 6. If you're real ambitious, you can experiment with some of the settings by clicking on the "Settings" command.
Step 7. When you're satisfied with your image and settings, click the "Download" button to view your final 3D print image. Remember where the image is stored so you can find it and load it onto the Afinia 3D printer.
Step 8. Turn on your call light or raise your hand and inform your instructor you're ready to print your image.
