Welcome to the Berkeley Lab Ukulele Club

There are no requirements for membership other than to be prepared to have some fun! Beginners are always welcome and encouraged! We can provide the instruments and lessons, including one-on-one sessions. There are no costs to join or learn.

We meet twice each month from 12pm - 1pm.

A Little History...

Around 2010, a few folks at the JGI found that they had a common interest in playing the ukulele and started getting together at lunch time. The JGI group was asked to play at the Lab's first Open House. One thing led to another and they decided to form an employee ukulele group. 

The club has an open and relaxed style, coming together to share, learn and play music. The club has played for many Lab functions and social events over the years. 

Booking a Performance

If you're interested in booking a performance, please reach out to us! There is no cost as we are all volunteers. We've played for Lab functions such as the Annual Holiday Craft Fair and Admin Appreciation Day, as well as for division BBQ's, picnics and retirement parties. Offsite, we've played for senior homes and non-profits.
