Youth Programs

Our youth girls teams had a successful weekend in Crandon! The 7th/8th grade team won both of their pool games against Three Lakes and Menominee Indian to make the championship game against Oneida Nation. We could not get by the height and length of Oneida but came away with a solid 2nd place finish. The 6th grade also made the Championship game and played Crandon. Once again we were unable to get the win but got another solid 2nd place finish! The 5th grade did not get a win but competed in every game with the biggest deficit being within 5 points. They have a lot of newcomers on the team and showed significant improvement throughout the day. The 4th grade beat Goodman and Rhinelander to get into the championship game against Marinette. The game was a back and forth nail biter that was still not settled after an overtime period and went into free throws to decide the winner. Both teams shot free throws really well but the Rebels made 4 of their 5 free throw attempts to win 1st place! It was a great weekend of basketball for the program! I love seeing all of the girls playing and competing on the court!
