OBJECTIVES:
It aims to develop professional technicians skilled in both theories and practice of chemical engineering.
FACILITIES & FEATURES:
The department is equipped with chemical analysis and organic chemistry labs in which there are important chemical engineering supplies such as, UV/VIS spectro- photometers, IR spectrophotometers, HPLC systems, GC spectrometers and so on.
FACULTY:
The department consists of ten professional teachers. One of them has doctoral degree of British science education, and three teachers are doing further research in the graduate institute of master degree in National Kaohsiung Normal University.
ADVANCED STUDY:
1. After graduation the students can continue their study by entering polytechnic universities, normal universities, 4-year institutes of
technology, or 2-year junior colleges.
2. The graduates can go on for advanced study in:
-The Departments of Environmental Engineering
-The Department of Biotechnology
-The Department of Industrial Safety and Hygiene
-The Department of Chemical Engineering
EMPLOYMENTL:
Graduates will have opportunities to work in the field of biotechnological industry, medical industry, and manufacturing semi-conductors.
