The band program is host to 4 concert bands: 2 Concert Bands, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony.
Concert Band
Concert Band I and II are entry level concert bands which participate in marching parades, football and basketball pep bands, and performs at least 1 formal concert per semester. Both bands are evaluated by nationally acclaimed music educators at festivals such as the Marquette University Concert Band Festival in Milwaukee, WI.
Symphonic Band
The Kettle Moraine High School Symphonic Band is a high-level performance band for students that have high proficiency on their instruments. Primarily made up of sophomores, juniors and seniors, this band combines with the Concert Bands for the marching season and performs at least 1 formal concert per semester. Symphonic Band performs for nationally acclaimed music educators at festivals including the Marquette Band Festival and the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee Band Festival. Each December, Symphonic Band produces the family-favorite event, "Breakfast With Santa and Holiday Craft Fair." Symphonic Band also combines with Wind Symphony for a Prism Concert at the end of the second semester.
Wind Symphony
The Kettle Moraine HS Wind Symphony is the highest lever concert band consisting primarily of juniors and seniors who have a high level of experience and proficiency. Many students who are in Wind Symphony have studied privately for many years. This band won 1st place at the 1995 National Adjudicators Festival in St. Louis, and also received a 2nd place finish in the top class of the Dixie Classic Festival in Richmond, VA in 1998. The KMHS Wind Symphony continues to perform some of the most challenging band repertoire. An annual Wind Symphony highlight has been the entirely student run Costume Ball presented in October.
