"Creating environments for change"
KJ Peterson Consulting
KJ Peterson Consulting (KJPC) is a women-owned small business dedicated to environmental stewardship. Since Kathy Peterson founded the company in 2012, KJPC has provided project coordination, strategic planning, and meeting facilitation services to government agencies and their partners engaged in multi-agency and cross-boundary conservation projects.
At our core, we believe that strategic environmental restoration actions on a local landscape scale are key to effectively addressing the global crisis of climate change and massive biodiversity loss. To that end, we apply our skills, methods, knowledge, and experience to "creating environments for change" for our clients as they undertake the all-important mission of achieving wildfire restoration and ecosystem resilience.
We use our facilitation skills to create productive meeting environments for our clients that encourage inclusive, results-oriented conversations.
We employ classic strategic planning methods to create inspiring environments for our clients to engage in both visionary thinking and pragmatic action planning.
We apply our project management knowledge and experience to create collaborative environments for our clients and their partners to plan and implement mission-critical projects.
KJPC has a proven track record of coordinating multi-million dollar wildfire restoration and habitat improvement programs for the federal government and their partners on public lands in the mega-urban region of Southern California. Our Principal Consultant brings a knowledge of inherently governmental processes, policies, and regulations, stemming from her prior career with the USDA Forest Service; this allows our company to better guide the alignment of stakeholder goals in an environment of complex natural resource issues and constraints.
