Myriam Rosado

Library Media Specialist

Ms. Rosado's lifelong enthusiasm for reading, math, and the technology that facilitates both, has enabled her to lead the Burton B. Fox Library into the 21st century. After graduating as a Systems Engineer in 1986, Ms. Rosado, in 1992, went to grad school in the Computing Science Department of the University of Alberta for a M.Sc.  while working as the Information Center Director at Universidad del Norte

To prioritize her role as mother of twins, she came to Colegio Karl C. Parrish where she was originally hired as a High School Mathematics teacher. Subsequently, Ms. Rosado used her knowledge of mathematics and technology when she was assigned to oversee the school's IT Department. In 2010, she became director of the school's library. Under her tenure, the library has reorganized its extensive catalog, consolidated the implementation of online databases for academic research, such as EBSCO, and hosted engaging events for students, parents, and staff. She has also created an impressive e-book collection and has sponsored the school's MakerSpace extracurricular program as well as taken on several technology-related electives throughout the years.

Ms. Rosado enjoys reading. All the time. Everywhere. Science fiction literature is her passion but she enjoys almost all genres and truly believes that learning to enjoy reading and math are the keys to life-long happiness and success.
