Sponsored by Mu Alpha Theta, the national Log1 contest provides students with the opportunity to compete with schools from around the country.
Format:
- Several individual rounds
- 15 Open answer questions, 30 minutes
- 3 Divisions based on ability (Theta for Algebra II students, Alpha for Math Analysis students, and Mu for Calculus students)
- Mu division is for students who are taking a Calculus course
- Alpha division is for students who are in math courses above Algebra 2 but who have not taken calculus
- No calculus is to be included at this level
- Theta division is for students who are in Algebra II
- There will be no trigonometry questions other than right triangle trigonometry or law of sines and law of cosines (only Algebra I and Geometry)
