Beginning the 3rd week of 1st semester and the 2nd week of 2nd semester, Grizzly Opts will be held every TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, and THURSDAY after 1st and 5th periods. During this period, all students with an F in any class will be required to attend the class they have an F in during Grizzly Opts. Students who do not have an F will be allowed independent study time OR they can attend one of their classes to receive additional help, make up a test or quiz, or study. The Media Center, computer labs, cafeteria, the gym, and some elective classrooms will be available for those not required to attend Grizzly Opts.
1. On Monday, August 29th, students will receive a Grizzly Opts card in Homeroom. This card will show students their current grades and will inform them whether or not they are required to attend Grizzly Opts. Attendance is mandatory and will be taken through Skyward. Students must continue to attend until all grades are passing.
2. Grades and Grizzly Opts attendance will be re-evaluated every week in Homeroom and new cards will be issued. It is the responsibility of students to keep their Grizzly Opts cards with them at all times.
3. Students are required to attend the class in which they need the most help and come prepared with work or materials necessary to improve academic grade. Cell phones, electronics, food and drink are not allowed. There will be no Hall pass use during Grizzly Opts.
4. All students must be in a classroom, computer lab, Media Center, cafeteria, or the gym when the bell rings. Positive attendance will be taken through Skyward as attendance is required.
