I'm originally from Ohio and graduated with my B.A. from Ohio Northern University in 2009. Two years later, after eating an abundance of good southern barbecue and listening to jazz music, I graduated with my M.A. from the University of Memphis. I was instilled with a love of traveling at a young age, and head for the West coast of Africa in 2011 to teach 9-12th grade English for two years at an American school in Fes, Morocco. Those years were filled with cultural differences, language barriers, phenomenal food, weeks of sight seeing....and a bit of English. I finally made my way to Colorado in 2013 and started teaching at SLHS in 2014. I met my fellow Gator husband that same fall, and we were married in 2016. In my moments of spare time, I enjoy cooking, the theater, and a great cup of coffee. My favorite books include To Kill a Mockingbird, The Bell Jar, and The Nightingale.
