What are Experiences?
Picture a silent auction and live filled with opportunities to meet other Kyffin families and have fun building community.
To make this a success, we need you to help by creating experiences that involve your favorite activities or special expertise. Don't be shy! We have some tips (and example experiences) below to get you started!
Tips for Creating Your Experience
Think of an experience or skill that you would like to share with other Kyffin families. See the table below for ideas.
Think of a title for your experience.
Pick your location (your house, a local park, a venue, etc..).
Think of a date (and an alternate date). What time of year is best for your experience between May 5 and December 31st?
Think of a time (either exact time, or morning/afternoon/evening).
Consider your intended audience for the experience. Is the experience aimed toward Kyffin families, adults, students, grandparents, or teachers/staff?
Think of how many people can participate (including yourself). Is it space limited?
Write a description including everything that comes with the experience.
If for students, what age/grade range is it appropriate for?
Does it come with food, gear, free lodging, supplies?
Would the attendee need to provide certain supplies/gear/additional fees to participate (for instance, supply their own mountain bike for a group ride)? Generally, beyond the donation to the Kyffin Experience, the participant should not have significant additional costs to participate in the experience.
Fill in the Host Experience form.
To donate a silent auction item instead of an Experience, fill in the Silent Auction form.
