Ken Caryl Middle School Library Media Center is an information commons where inquiry, knowledge, enjoyment, and creativity all live together. In this space and it’s online extensions:
Students and staff know that they will be welcomed, inspired, and challenged.
Students and teachers develop 21st century technological skills, including the use of Web 2.0 tools.
Students engage in the development of literacy skills and teachers engage in professional development to offer more literacy rich instruction.
Collaboration is encouraged among all members of the learning community: students, parents, teachers, administration, and active members of the surrounding community.
Students and staff regularly utilize 21st century research tools for both academic and personal purposes.
21st century ethics are alive.
