All students in the Marching Band are expected and required to attend ALL assigned camps, after school rehearsals, and performances. While it is understood that special circumstances do occur that require you to miss practice or a performance, it is expected that all members make marching band a priority over other activities. These instances need to be discussed with the director as soon as possible. There have been students in the past that have done other things while in marching band and have made it work. It is the responsibility of the student to arrange their schedule to make it work. The director will not rearrange the schedule to accommodate individual needs.
Be advised: once the schedule has been set, all members are required to attend everything on the calendar. If you were on the football team, and didn't come to practice, would you play on Friday night? We rehearse 2 nights a week after school from 4-6.
Beginning Fall 2017: all students in the marching band who want to take Driver's Ed, must do so AFTER the marching band season. You will not be allowed to miss rehearsal for Driver's Ed. There are other opportunities throughout the year for you to get your training.
As a marching band, we are all committed to each other. We all have to make sacrifices for the benefit of the whole group.
If everyone works together, we will achieve greatness!
