About Us

The West Iredell High School Band was established in 1976, shortly after the school opened. Taking the mascot of the Warriors, the band personified the image and spirit of Warrior Nation. The band has been involved in marching band competitions - field performance and parade performance, concert band festivals, community events, school functions and, of course, Friday Night Football since the beginning. We have had a number of very talented directors that have lead the band to numerous superior ratings & 1st place awards at concert and marching festivals as well as community, state, and national aclame. 

In 1982, the Band of Warriors was selected to represent the State of North Carolina in the Inauguration Parade for President Ronald Reagan.
