White Bear Lake Elementary schools uses a combination of fitness tests from accredited programs to track our student’s fitness level throughout their elementary experience and to allow students to take ownership of their fitness level as well as learn about goal-setting. The standards used are based on average children of the same gender in the United States. Our goal is to provide every student with information about their own personal fitness level. Tests will be given twice a year, one in the fall and then again in the spring to 1st-5th grade students. In class, students will be working on improving their scores throughout the year using various exercises and activities. Reports for 3rd-5th grade students will be sent home at the completion of each testing period.
