Students have the option of going to other band concerts for extra credit. To receive extra credit, students must type up their answers to the questions below in complete sentences, and turn them in along with a program of the concert. Students may do this up to two times per quarter. Up to 10 extra credit points can be earned for each extra credit concert, and it will be added to the lowest part of your student's grade. Please check out the links below to find concerts to attend, or find a concert on your own! As long as it is a band or orchestra concert, it is good!
Sporting events with pep bands do not qualify for extra credit. Concerts your student is performing in do not qualify, as your student was already expected to be there. Extra credit means that your student went out of their way to see an extra band performance. Extra credit should be used to help your student's grade if they forgot to attend a lesson or turn in a set of practice minutes. Extra credit is not meant to be used for "instead-of-credit."
