Classroom Expectations

The Central Band room can be an enjoyable space when all students feel accepted, safe, and ready to learn! All class assignments, meets, and links will always be found on your Band Google Classroom.

All Central Middle School rules apply in the band room

• No food, gum, or beverages other than water are permitted in the band room.
• Masks and Bell covers are to be worn at all times.
• 6 Ft of distance must be maintained from others in the class.
• Chromebooks are to be used appropriately. When not being used, Chromebooks are to be stored under the seat.
• Only percussionists may touch the percussion instruments or be back in the percussion section.
• No student may handle or play another student's instrument.
• All students must respect themselves and others in the band room.
• All instrument cases need to be stored properly at all times. On the floor is not a proper storage space.

Band is a team effort. When we work together and respect each other, we can do great things! Part of respecting each other is honoring your commitment to the group. We rely on each other to fill up the room with sound, no one can do this on their own! Because of this unique aspect of ensemble performing, we cannot allow students to leave the band part way through the year. Schedule changes will NOT be allowed after the start of the school year.
