Grading/Rules

How will my child be graded?

Student grades for children K-5 will be based on the LAPS method within Class Dojo.

L: Listening

A: Attitude, Assessments

P: Participation

S: Skills, shoes

Class Dojo will be used to track class and individual behavioral progress within the PE classroom.

Every 400 points, a class will earn a free choice day for exemplary behavior.

For parents invited into Class Dojo from their classroom homeroom teacher, your child's behavior can be monitored at home.

What are the rules?

1. Be Safe

2. Be Respectful

3. Be Responsible

What are the consequences for not following the rules?

• 1st time: Verbal warning

• 2nd time: Sit out of activity for a few minutes.

• 3rd time: Broken rule note written up.

• 4th time: Office Visit - call home to parents.

If a student consistently breaks the same rules, a call will be made to the parent about the poor behavior and it may effect child’s participation grade for the quarter.
