7-1 teachers will be piloting our new Social Studies curriculum using TCI's History Alive! The United States Through Industrialism textbook.
The curriculum will cover early U.S. history through pre-Civil War (students will continue this learning in 8th grade).
Students will have access to a classroom set of textbooks in addition to online and/or print materials.
This inquiry-based learning approach gives students the opportunity to ask and answer meaningful questions.
Students will engage with the content from a historical perspective while also examining today’s relevance.
The curriculum offers diverse perspectives & voices.
At the end of each unit, students will answer the compelling question through assessments such as tests and research projects.
