Honor Band

Independence has always had high participation in the WaMac honor band festival held in November of each year, with 35%-40% of our band being selected. We also participate in All-State auditions and have had musicians selected every year. Other honor bands include the UNI Honor Band and the IBA all Iowa 8th grade honor band.
