Meet the Staff

I have been the Independence K-12 Teacher Librarian for 7 years. My job combines the best of two worlds. I have always been an avid reader and feel that reading books give us a wonderful way to grow and learn. I also enjoy working with students as they learn and discover new things. Working and living in this district has given me sense of family. I enjoy watching students as they mature and grow on their educational journey.

My goals as the district Teacher Librarian are to encourage a love of reading and to help students and staff find and utilize the resources they need for their teaching and learning.

My love of reading carries over to my personal life. When I am not wildly reading, I enjoy trying new recipes and traveling with my family.
