Welcome to West Elementary in Independence, Iowa. I am honored to be one of the leaders at this school as your principal. Our school offers education for all students in the 3rd - 6th grades. There are many opportunities for students to succeed here at West Elementary. Of course we offer all the necessary learning opportunities for our 400+ students. We also offer a wellness program, music, art, band and many after school activities to help students be well-rounded. Our day is full of learning and service to others. With the help of all staff we pride ourselves in positive supports for kids, and represent these good deeds and behavior monthly at a public assembly in our full sized gymnasium.
