Early Life: I was born in Independence, Iowa and was a Mustang throughout my childhood.
Education:
I have Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with a Reading Endorsement, a Masters Degree in Communications, and a Masters Degree in Administration, all from the University of Northern Iowa.
Professional and Career:
I started my teaching career at West Marshall High School in State Center, Iowa as a High School English teacher. I then had the opportunity to teach 8th grade English at Miller Middle School in Marshalltown, Iowa. I enjoyed those experiences for 10 years. After that I became an Instructional Coach for the Marshalltown Community School District. In the summer of 2016 I began work as the West Elementary Principal.
Family Life:
My family lives in Independence and enjoy the many things this area of the state offers. My husband is a teacher in the district and our two kids attend school at East and West Elementary.
