Here are tutorials and "how-to" videos for the apps that are most commonly used for instruction at Ithaca High School. If your teacher wants you to record a video using Flipgrid, join a Kahoot, or use another digital tool, you can quickly learn how by watching the videos below.

Canva

Canva is a simple tool to create infographics, posters, social media posts and more.

EdPuzzle

EdPuzzle is used by teachers to create interactive video lessons.

Flipgrid

Flipgrid is a video creation tool that makes it easy to record responses. To learn how to record your screen in Flipgrid, read this article.

Kahoot

Kahoot is a platform for creating, sharing, and playing learning games.

Kami

Kami is a digital annotation app that allows you to take notes and mark up PDFs. This video shows you how to use Kami on your Chromebook. You will need to create a free Kami account to get started.

Kami Free with Canvas

Kami can be used within your Canvas courses. This video shows you how to use Kami with Canvas.

Jamboard

Jamboard is Google's whiteboard app that makes digital collaboration easy.

Mentimeter

Mentimeter is an interactive presentation tool that lets the presenter get answers from their audience and share those answers in real time.

Pear Deck

Pear Deck works with Google Slides to make presentations more interactive and engaging. You don't need to join to use it as a student.

Screencastify

Screencastify allows you to record your screen and create a tutorial or include your face along with the material you are presenting. ICSD's own Mr. Anderson created a tutorial showing how to install, activate, and use Screencastify.

Thinglink

Thinglink makes creating interactive photos, videos, and 360 degree images easy. You will need to sign up for a free account to create. Watch the tutorial for an overview of what you can do with Thinglink.

WeVideo

WeVideo is an online video editor that you can use to create videos and podcasts. Students can work individually or with a group. The video below is 13 minutes long, skip ahead to 2:45 if you want to learn about editing.
