High School Graduation Requirements
General Graduation Requirements
Students need a required 230 units of credit and must pass all required courses listed for graduation in order to graduate from Hume Lake Charter School.
Students must pass the California High School Exit Exam.
Students need to earn a “D” or above in their courses of study in order for courses to count as a credited class towards their graduation requirement.
College Prep Graduation Requirements (recommend for UC/CSU admission):
This plan makes the student eligible to apply for admission to a UC, CSU, or many other four-year colleges and universities upon high school graduation.
Students need a required 250 units of credit and must pass all required courses listed for graduation in order to graduate from Hume Lake Charter School. Students must obtain a “C” or higher in courses that are a-g or college prep courses in order for those courses to be accepted by a UC or CSU. Students may graduate from Hume Lake Charter High School with a “D” in a college prep course, but this course will not be accepted by a UC or CSU.
The additional 20 credits are recommended in the areas of math, science, and foreign language courses.
Please note: Some courses in this option can be rigorous as they are college prep courses.
For Most Block Courses One Semester of a Class = 10 credits
One Quarter = 5 credits
