In HRPro, you can define up to 15 User-Definable Pay Types. Each Pay Type supports an unlimited number of Pay Slip Display Names (previously referred to as Pay Type Items in earlier versions).
When the Enable Pay Type Table option is turned off, both Pay Types and their corresponding Pay Slip Display Names are managed in the Payroll Module Setup, Pay Type Tab.
For each Pay Type, you can create multiple Pay Slip Display Names by clicking the Pay Slip Display Name button. A Pay Slip Display Name serves as the description that appears on the employee’s pay slip, while inheriting the same characteristics as its parent Pay Type (e.g. Full Pay Wage, Taxable, MPF Contribute, IRD Category, etc.).
For example:
Under the Pay Type Commission, you might define Pay Slip Display Names such as Monthly Commission, Contract End Commission, and Special Commission.
For a non-taxable Pay Type like Donation, you can set up unlimited Pay Slip Display Names such as Donation (UNHCR), Donation (Orbis), and Donation (Po Leung Kuk).
You can defined the Pay Slip Display Name in Employee Master, Salary Info tab or change it from Payroll Record Amendment, Salary tab.
All payroll reports (e.g. Payroll Details Report), all kind of commissions will be printed on the same column with header Commission and automatically sum up as the total row (if Pay Type Description on Payroll Reports based on Payroll Record is turned off).
(p.s. Pay Slip Display Name is not available if Pay Type Table is enabled.)
