Rosters can be assigned by either
Superior (The Report to (Superior) of the Roster Employees are the person who assigns Rosters)
Roster Administrator (The employee that Is Roster Administrator in Employee Master, EPortal tab is turned on can assign rosters for his/her department/division/location)
depending on the option Rosters are assigned by in Employee Portal Setup, Employee Self Service tab, Roster Assignment panel.
To turn on Roster Assignment, go to Employee Portal Setup, Employee Self Service tab, and check Enable "Roster Assignment".
Roster Assignment will only be displayed for EPortal Users for whom the check-box option Show "Roster Assignment" (in Employee Master, EPortal tab) is checked.
p.s. If the check-box option Roster Assignment including Self in Employee Portal Setup, Employee Self Service tab is turned on, the roster tables available to update in Roster Assignment in Employee Portal will include the Roster of the logged-in user.
If the option Assumed one Employee one Roster in Master Setup is turned on, the leave type of the Approved Leave of this employee will be displayed in red in the table to assign the proper shift code.
If Allow Roster Assignment to create new roster Schedules (in Employee Portal Setup > Employee Self Service tab) is enabled, users can create roster schedules for a specific month where no rosters have been defined yet.
The shift codes assigned to each weekday default to the most frequently used shift code for that weekday in past rosters for this group. For example:
If REST was the most common shift code for Sundays in previous rosters, the new roster will default to REST on Sundays.
If Enable Roster Location Assignment (In Master Setup, Work Schedule panel) is turned on, Location can be assigned each day.
If the option Enable 468 Checking (in Employee Portal Setup, Employee Self Service Tab, Roster Assignment panel) is turned on, the 468 check button will be available to check whether the roster meets the 468 hours threshold. (See 468 Checking)
