This website will be updated by Family Weekend in October with all the details for the programs on offer for the 2026-27 school year. In the meantime, we hope that this information gives you a sense of the process and the types of programs that are on offer.

Proposed 2026-26 "Hotchkiss in the World" Programs

Winter Break:
Hotchkiss in Germany (Dec.16-23) - note that the application will be due on October 5, 2026 at 10 p.m. DST
Winter Term:
Hotchkiss in Puerto Rico - Language immersion (dates TBD in winter term)
Hotchkiss in Québec - Language immersion (dates TBD in winter term)
March Break:
Hotchkiss in Andalusia - Humanities
Hotchkiss in England - Cultural immersion and UK Universities
Hotchkiss in Rome - Classics
Hotchkiss Special Olympics to St. Kitt's and Nevis
Athletic preseason training programs
Spring Term
Exchanges to Round Square schools in Colombia, Peru, and South Africa
Summer Break:
Art History Scholars at Princeton University (new program)
Euclid to Einstein (math and science research) at Cornell
Hersey Scholars Program at the Boston Public and Harvard libraries
Hotchkiss in Iceland (Outdoor Ed)
Hotchkiss in Italy Music Festival
Hotchkiss in Japan (Ceramics)
MacLeish Scholars Program at Yale
Matthiessen Environmental Science program with Yale School of Forestry
The final list will be determined by mid-September, and all programs are dependent on student interest, as well as travel guidelines from the CDC, International SOS, and the U.S. Department of State.

Note that all students receiving financial aid will be awarded a grant from the Funds for Global Understanding for the ground cost of the program, with some aid for airfare. See the "Information about grants..." page for more information
