Finding the point of view of a story isn’t always an easy thing
Just look for the narrator, that’s the one who is doing the story telling
You can look for clues in the text, to help you do your best, to figure out the POV
So grab your text, come on get set, and listen to us sing
1st person: I or me, a character’s the one doing the telling
2nd person: all about you, the reader is who it’s talking to
3rd person limited: that’s like a spy with seeing eyes
But 3rd person omniscient: mind-reading at its best!
I can tell the point of view
Ask myself the narrator is whom?
But after that what do I do?
Oh, how can this help me?
Imagine from a different POV
You’ll be surprised what you can see
Every page discovering something brand new
When I know the Point of View
