Footwear: Must be worn for both days of Wellness (Classroom and Gym)
- Shoes must allow for flexibility, support, and stability of the foot. The shoe must be fastened with laces . The shoe should not come off during activity due to lack of this criteria.
- Shoes that are not allowed are; hiking boots/shoes, backless sneakers, sandals, street shoes or dress shoes.
- Students who are not wearing safe and appropriate footwear will not be allowed to participate in class activities for that day for safety reasons.
- Class participation points will be deducted for every class students are not properly prepared.
Clothing
- Specifications for appropriate attire for classes in the gymnasium can be found in the Student Handbook.
- Attire must allow for the student to move freely and safely during activity, and be in compliance with the Student Handbook.
- If a student comes to class in improper attire, they will not be able to participate in the activities on that day.
- If a student comes to class a second time in improper attire (footwear) an e-mail or phone call will be made. The third offense will result in a teacher detention. (lunch detention) A fourth offense will be referred to the office.
- If a student is expected to make up a class and does not attend, parents will be notified.
Water/ Food in Physical Education
- Students are encouraged to bring water bottles to class. Water is not available.
- No food is allowed in the classroom 109 or the Gym.
Medical Excuses
- Students need to bring a note to class when they are to be excused from physical education class for any length of time for medical reasons. A physician/doctor’s note is required if is a student will miss activity for more than one class.
Report Cards
- Grades will be given once a year. power school will be open to parents.

Wellness Participation/effort - 33.3%
Wellness Projects: 33.3%
Wellness Assessments 33.3%
Total= 100%
Wellness Participation- based on daily effort, attitude, and willingness participate with others (socialization) - wellness all star
Wellness Projects- Students will work individually or with groups utilizing and demonstrating the knowledge that they have acquired from instruction.
Wellness assessments Formative evaluation of student learning at the conclusion of a unit of learning.
Materials needed for each class
- Pen or pencil
- A separate Wellness Binder/Folder for handouts and notes from class
- Agenda to record homework
- Chromebook (use google calendar)
Take pride in your work
- Make sure the product you hand in is neat, unwrinkled, clean, and your best effort. No frayed pages please.
- Try to make your writing as neat as possible so that it can be read easily. Work should be done in a study environment.
- Assignments can be completed using google docs
Complete assigned work on time
- Check to see what you have missed when you are absent. Check with Teacher, ask a classmate.
- If you do not have an assignment ready on time because it is just not complete or you forgot, it will be due the next school day with loss of points.
- Check your teacher's’ web page for all assignments and due dates.
Be on time
- Do not linger, talking in the halls. You need to be in your seat, or in the gym ready to begin when class begins.
- Be prepared to go to the gym even when assigned to the classroom.
Ask questions if you don’t understand or would like something clarified.
- You are probably not the only one who has a question.
Respect the right of other students to learn.
- You do not have the right to distract other students when they are trying to listen or complete work.
