About Me

I am proud to say that I am entering my 11th year at HTMCV! I received my credential at our very own High Tech High organization, and can not wait to continue this incredible journey at High Tech Middle Chula Vista. I am glad to say I was part of the first graduating class at one of our very own schools, High Tech High. That is right, I loved it so much I came back!

Before working at HTMCV, I took part in leading training sessions on working with youth, risk management, and program development. I also led youth workshops and camping retreat weekends for the Los Angeles Unified School District while working as a youth leadership counselor at various school sites throughout San Diego. After working at High Tech Middle Media Arts as an Instructional Assistant, I realized that my true passion was in education. I attended San Diego State University where I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics, and I can honestly say I love my job!

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy watching and cheering my beloved San Diego Padres, solving math riddles, traveling, EATING, and spending time with family and friends. And more importantly, I am a proud husband. And dad of a beautiful baby girl and baby boy! They are the most important humans in my life, and they bring so much joy to me every single day!

As we all know, this year will be my 11th year at HTMCV, and I can not wait to continue to work with such supportive and inspirational staff and students!
